CURLY CURSIVE HANDWRITING & FLOURISHING PROJECTS
Expand your journal writing skills, greeting card and envelope designs with a dive into embellished loops.  Learn how to add connecting swirls and flourishes to enliven your own script.  Goodby plain, hello fancy!  Learn the principles of how to twist the tail of a “y” into a decorative ending, or extend the top of an L into a corner embellishment. Banners, borders and dozens of simple details will add unforgettable Bling! to our class projects: a birthday card, festive place card, and an envelope you address. Bring all your pens, a variety of inks, some text to write. Instructor will provide a wide range of additional items, envelopes, and colorful papers.  With an array of inspiring tips, examples, projects, plus your take-home handouts you can continue designing fun & fancy lettering elements your own cards, signs, journal pages. Open to teens and adults who can write cursive script (words with connected letters).

SUPPLIES STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: 
  • Bring 1 or 2 solid, firm pillows to sit on because chairs are too low for good writing posture.
  • Several sheets of lined paper and blank paper.
  • Pencil, ruler, flexible nib if you have one.
  • A selection of papers, your favorite pens, a variety of inks, ideas of themes and text to write.
  • Pencils, white or kneaded eraser, and ruler, with T-square or triangle if possible.
  • Any additional decorative items you have.
